“Are you in or out?”

I’ve said I’m retiring from the massage profession, but I keep emailing you. So people are asking me, “Are you in or out? Are you really leaving the profession or is this some kind of ploy?”

The truth is that I am leaving. But it’s like trying to say goodbye at a busy party so you can get out the door.

I have an obligation to all my BodyworkBiz peeps until the end of the year. I also need to do project management at World Massage Conference for the time being. (By the way, this is the last day to get the prelaunch special, so check it out now.) That’s why I’m still very visible.

What am I up to?I’ve always done consulting for all types of businesses from the largest cat litter manufacturer in North America to local restaurants and everything in between including comedians, consultants, educators, software developers, associations, universities and more. So I’ll continue that work, but will be gearing towards larger organizations.

I’m always looking at trends and how to capitalize on those. One strategy that has been under-utilized by professionals and businesses of all sorts is publishing. So I plan to help people write and publish books using a system that speeds up the process to weeks instead of years.

I wrote, published and got my “60 Clients in 60 Days” book to the Amazon bestseller status in just two weeks – start to finish. I did this to prove that my publishing system would work the way I envisioned it.

(It’s still available for 99 cents on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V585K7E. Best deal ever!)

I’m also exploring the possibility of creating an online English video immersion program to help non-native speakers learn the language quickly. If you took part in my Productivity Challenge last year, you know that efficiency is important to me. Traditional academic language training programs are more or less useless. I think someone should be able to be proficient in a new language in months not years and that’s my motivation for exploring this project.

So over the past few months I’ve been consulting with ESL educators, school owners, script writers, and language experts to determine the feasibility of my idea. If I think I can actually make it happen, I will. It’s exciting because it has the potential to help hundreds of thousands of people wanting to learn or become more proficient in English. As part of my research I’ve actually gone back to school to be certified as an ESL teacher to really wrap my head around traditional approaches to English instruction and to get some in the trenches experience.

So that’s the scoop! That’s why I’m still hanging around massage people and why you continue to hear from me.

Now that my English training is over and I have some time on my hands, I’ll be writing a little more often and providing you with some more resources.

Take care,

Eric Brown
